A Home Away From Home

With any custom design project, I like to dig into a person’s story and figure out a way to honor that story as fully as possible. When considering Maria’s story, which is so deep and rich and filled with sacrifice and triumph, I thought about how to capture her history in something that she could wear forever and then pass down. It seemed only natural then to design a necklace. Her story is about following her heart, and I like the symbolism of the necklace always resting close to that heart.
