My studio is in an area of Brooklyn with many converted old warehouses, and that industrial environment is often reflected in my work. I’m especially inspired by how nature reclaims the urban landscape. For example, in New York City you can see metal structures turn different colors when exposed to the elements. I love the idea of cities being reclaimed by nature and getting completely overgrown and becoming nature again.
