Using nail lacquer to color-code hand files for better organization

My hands work hard—and they show it, so I have long found myself baffled at how my metalsmith friends can manage to keep a manicure intact for more than 30 seconds. One friend told me about gel polish—a really tough nail lacquer that’s difficult to chip—and my creative brain immediately figured out a new and better use for this miracle substance: to supplement my workshop organization.
