Soldering is one of those jewelry skills that looks simple, but really isn’t. The heat, the metal, the solder—each behaves a little differently, and even small missteps can lead to big problems. Use too much solder and you’ll be cleaning up excess. Overheat the piece and you can end up with pits, a weak join, or a melted disaster.
