Eight Solder-Saving Tips

There are as many soldering tips and timesavers as there are jewelry makers who solder. I try to teach my beginner soldering students good work habits from the start, and I also find it’s sometimes a good idea for experienced solderers to review the basics if only to remind themselves how far they have come since their first time at the torch. These are my all-time favorite solder-saving tips that I’ve used nearly every day in more than 25 years of making jewelry, and I’m happy to report that after all those years, they still can’t be beat.
