One of the top jewelry designers in the country, Mark Schneider Fine Jewelry, in Long Beach, California, is seeking a new member to assist Mark with his private customers and to support the sales team on the floor. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator, have strong customer skills, work in a consultative selling role, and enjoy providing administrative and customer service support. Attention to detail and proven ability to follow projects from beginning to end is a must.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent project management and organization skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Enthusiasm about and ability to connect with customers and be of service to them.
- Knowledge about how jewelry is made and jewelry materials.
- Experience selling jewelry or providing customer service to jewelry clients.
- Fine jewelry sales experience and product knowledge a must. This person will be selling diamond and colored stone fine jewelry, and interacting with diamond and gemstone vendors.
- Comfort with and enthusiasm about computers and automated systems. This is a demanding role that is best managed by someone who is comfortable using systems to manage time and easily share information.
- Ability to work with vendors of diamonds and colored gemstones.
- Gemology knowledge/experience a big plus.
- Comfort with store operations and marketing and sales technology.
Required Responsibilities:
- Assist Mark Schneider with custom design projects, managing the customer communication and coordinating internal resources from approved design through delivery.
- Work with customers at the Mark Schneider Boutique.
