Foredom Electric/Rio Grande – K1040 Brushless Micromotor

The K.1040 high-speed rotary micromotor has a brushless motor design, eliminating the need to replace carbon brushes. Offering a sealed housing that eliminates dust, noise, and vibration, the unit has two speed settings: one setting provides a full speed range up to 50,000 rpm and the second setting offers speeds between 500 and 5,000 rpm. Featuring an ergonomic, comfortable grip, the micromotor is designed for simple collet changes to use 3/32 or 1/8 inch shank burs. Other features include an LED digital speed display, built-in overload protection, a dial speed control that sets precise speed and can set a maximum speed for operation with foot control, and a convenient handpiece holder with four optional locations on the control box.
