Bi -Metal Sheet
This bi-metal sheet features a layer of either 18k or 22k yellow gold fused with sterling silver to form a precious metal sheet with two distinct surfaces, making it ideal for engraving, scraping, folding, or twisting to create distinctive designs. The 18k gold layer is similar to that of most gold-filled products, while the 22k gold layer is two to three times thicker than gold-filled products, giving it more workability.
It is available in sheets measuring from 3 inches by 1 inch to 3 inches by 12 inches. The 18k bi-metal sheets are offered in 20, 24, and 26 gauge, while the 22k sheets are available in 18 and 24 gauge only. For soldering, users should use 14k or 18k yellow easy solder on the gold surface and easy or medium silver solder on the sterling surface.
