AJM's "At the Bench Live" to Make JCK Las Vegas Debut
PROVIDENCE, RI-- Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America
(MJSA) has announced that, following successful runs at several
top jewelry trade shows across the country, AJM Magazine's "At
the Bench Live" seminar series has been scheduled for JCK Las
Vegas, June 4-8 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in
Las Vegas. Based on the popular AJM column of the same name, "At
the Bench Live" features interactive bench demonstrations and
the secrets to success from some of the industry's most renowned
jewelers.
The JCK Las Vegas seminars, which is sponsored by Rio Grande
in Albuquerque, New Mexico, will include the following sessions,
all free of charge:
· Blaine Lewis of the New Approach for School for Jewelers in
Virginia Beach, Virginia, will demonstrate "Mounting Techniques" on
Friday, June 4, and Sunday, June 6, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
· Nick Regine of Swarovski North America in Cranston, Rhode
Island, will present "Gluing Techniques" on Monday, June 7, from
2 to 3:30 p.m.
· A demonstration of "The Safe Bench: Tips and Techniques for
Preventing Accidents" with Arthur Skuratowicz of Anton Nash LLC
in Colorado Springs, Colorado, will take place on Saturday, June
5 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. This session is part of MJSA's "Safe and
Secure" safety outreach program, sponsored in part by a grant
from the JCK Jewelry Industry Fund.
"At the Bench Live" has brought together some of the industry's
most notable experts, such as Kate Wolf, Gregg Todd, Michael
Bondanza, and Alan Revere, at jewelry trade shows across the
country. In addition to the JCK show, "At the Bench Live" seminars
for 2004 have been scheduled for AGTA GemFair in Tucson from
Feb. 4 to 9, Catalog in Motion in Tucson on Feb. 8, MJSA's Expo
New York from Feb. 29 to March 2, and the Bench Jewelers Conference & Expo
on April 23 in Chicago.
During JCK Las Vegas, the "At the Bench Live" seminars will
appear in the Equipment, Technology & Supplies Pavilion,
which features some of the industry's latest supplies, equipment,
tools, packaging, and technology. The pavilion is sponsored by
MJSA.
The award-winning AJM Magazine, published by MJSA, is the only
magazine devoted soley to the manufacture and sale of fine and
fashion jewelry. It includes monthly articles on manufacturing
techniques, bench tips, industry news, and time-saving technology,
as well as strategies for marketing and retail sales.
