Providence, RI—Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers
of America (MJSA) recently appointed Karyn Lowe as associate
director of membership and promoted Joann Stojek to member
services supervisor. Lowe and Stojek will both be based at
the MJSA headquarters in Providence.
As associate director of membership, Lowe will oversee MJSA’s
member services and government relations program, including
recruitment and the continued development of cost-saving member
benefit programs. A 2000 graduate of the Southern New England
School of Law, Lowe has extensive legal experience, serving
as a judicial law clerk for the Rhode Island Worker’s
Compensation Court and law clerk for a Providence-based attorney.
Most recently, she was an executive assisant at the Rhode Island
Society of CPAs in Providence.
Lowe’s vision includes efforts to grow and maintain membership
nationally and internationally through benefit programs, government
relations, and networking. “Following our ‘Stronger
Together’ theme, if all segments of the industry work
together, we can conquer any obstacle that may arise,” said
Lowe. “This position will allow me to assist MJSA in
its mission to represent and protect the jewelry industry.”
Stojek, a 20-year jewelry industry veteran, has held positions
at Balfour, Engelhard, George H. Fuller & Sons, and Edwards
Industries. She has been an MJSA member services representative
for the past eight years. Stojek’s promotion to member
services supervisor requires her to coordinate the day-to-day
operations and processing within the membership department.
She will also assist in the supervision of the membership services
staff in Providence.
