Providence, RI—MJSA/AJM Press, the publishing division of Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA), has published its second book, At The Bench by Gregg Todd and Greg Gilman of Stuller. Based on the monthly AJM Magazine column of the same name, the book offers step-by-step, illustrated instruction on the repair and fabrication of gold and silver jewelry, as well as insights into bench preparation, safe practices for bench jewelers, and tips for taking in repairs.

At The Bench offers 19 step-by-step lessons, from rebuilding channel settings to performing basic chasing and repoussé, with more than 200 photos to guide the way. The book also contains charts for ring sizing and karat conversion, as well as resources for tools, alloys, and other supplies for bench work.

Authors Gregg Todd and Greg Gilman have written and photographed the majority of At the Bench columns since their AJM debut in 1999. Gregg Todd, the tools and technical specialist for Stuller, is a former instructor at the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology. Greg Gilman, Stuller’s technical and teams training consultant, has published numerous photographs in AJM Magazine.
