MJSA Golf Tournament Raises Funds For Industry Education
Providence, RIMore than 100 jewelry industry professionals took to the links on August 13 for the third annual
Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA) Education Foundation Golf Tournament. The turnout at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island, helped MJSA raise thousands of dollars to support the Foundations safety and technical training, school-to-career, and scholarship programs.
The support we receive from the jewelry industry and the Southern New England business community represents a commitment to investing in a skilled, knowledgable workforce, said MJSA president/CEO James F. Marquart. In the past year alone, the MJSA Education Foundation has created an eighty-page safe shop manual, awarded student scholarships for a total of $6,500, and produced electroplating, polishing, and finishing classes for jewelry manufacturers.
