Scholarship Fund

The MJSA Education Foundation Scholarship Group consists of six permanent endowment funds managed by the Rhode Island Community Foundation on behalf of MJSA. Money generated by these funds provides support to students enrolled in jewelry design, jewelry making, or other jewelry-related degree programs at colleges, universities, and technical schools throughout the United States. Several awards of $500 to $2,000 are given every year.

Who Can Apply
Any student enrolled in a jewelry program, who intends to pursue a career in the jewelry industry and can demonstrate financial need, is eligible to apply. Applicants are assessed on the basis of course of study, academics, career plans, recommendations, and industry experience. Students must be U.S. citizens.

How to Apply
Submit your 2008 scholarship application online today! The Rhode Island Foundation, who manages the MJSA Education Foundation Scholarship Group, has contracted with WESTAF in Denver, Colorado, for a service designed to accept applications online. This online service is called CaFE (Call for Entries).

Students can now submit their MJSA Education Foundation scholarship applications and work samples in the comfort of their home/office. Additional paperwork such as transcripts, financial aid award letters, etc. are required to be sent to the Rhode Island Foundation, Attn: Libby Monahan, MJSA Scholarship, One Union Station, Providence, RI 02903.
